I bought this motor grader at an auction and just noticed that the transmission fluid is milky looking. I assume it has water in it. If so, what may cause this and how do I fix it?

the most common cause of water in any transmision is rain. it goes in the breather or the dip stick hole, or around the shift lever boot. if it was antifreeze you should see quite a bit of green in it. i would assume it is rain waster, drain it out, refill with good oil, run a coule hours, drain and refill again. dont flush with diesel fuel or something like that, just do two oil changes. you will still see some left over after the first change.
