190xt steering problem

I drained all the hyd out to change and refill and the power steering does not seem to work now. Very hard to turn the steering wheel either way. Lift works well. Need help with this problem.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Does the power director work?
If not:
It sounds like the priority flow divider on the pump is stuck.

I have had problems with the pump not priming. If you put compressed air in the dipstick hole when the engine is running, this should prime the pump - if that is the problem. Seal up the area around the air hose with a rag so that oil does not spray back in your face.
