Been useing an Oliver Super 88 to pull it. The Oliver S88 by the neb test is 55HP and it plays with it. My list doesn't have a DB 885 but has a 880 but says its only 40 or so HP so I don't know if it will owrk for you or not. I tried useing my Oliver 77 which is 38 HP and it would do it but only if every thing was just right, other wise all I could get was a 3 or 4 foot bale when it should have been a 5.5 foot bale. The manual on the 850 says 55-75 HP tractor to pull the 850 but not sure what it takes for the 851. I do have a tractor here I'd sel that would pull it easy. Just got it the other day its rated at 85HP and its a hoss of a tractor

ok...thanx for info...i been hearing 60 HP from some folks to run the 851 and according to my book the DB 885 is 43 but it doesnt say if its on PTO or draw bar...i'll give it a shot...if it'll do a 4' bale i'd be happy for now...mite try changing some sprockets so it needs less power.

i'm tractor poor rite now...if the DB wont do the job mebbe it will motivate me to fix that orange POS sittin behind barn.

When you say tractor poor do you mean you have to many or not enough?? My self I have way to many some place around 25-30 of them and sure would love to sell a few of them, but seems money is tight so none have been selling in the last year or so. I just traded for one but that doesn't put any $$ in the kitty to buy more or parts for the ones I have
