My 175 has quit pumping hydraulic oil. There is no oil on the suction side of the pump but the level is OK on the dipstick. I've got the manual bought and on the way but is there anything I can start looking for now?
I bought this rig about 2 months ago and have used it off and on to brush hog and had no problems until now. It does have a seep on one of the 3 point lift cylinders but nothing major.
Thanks in advance!

Is the pump mounted on the engine, like on the old 7000s? If so, there is a filter in the sump, these pumps get weak, new ones are available for a fortune, but you can get a rebuild (still high) or find a replacement with correct rotation and flow rate. Is the flow divider part of the pump? If so, and you get an aftermarket pump, probably need a flow divider too, then the piping needs alteration.

It may be neater to get your pump rebuilt, if not cheaper, if it turns out be the problem.

ALso look for relief valves that leak by.

i'd look for a stopped up filter or screen and if that was ok i'd try repriming pump and see what happens.
