Have been trying to get a stutter out of my new to me C thatwas supposedly outfitted with an M&W pistion kit. Does anybody know if these kits were oversize? I have noticed if I play with the choke , I can get the tractor to run smoother, and there is no black smoke coming out the exaust. Have cleaned the carb and was clean as a wistle when taken apart, checked the jet,and Idle screw, all were clean.is the only way to richen the mix on this carb to upsize the main jet????and if sc does someone make bigger sizes?? is their another carb avaliable with adjustable idle ,and load circuts ,that will bolt on? thanx shawn

Had the same type of problem on my C. Carb looked good and clean but it wasn't. The passages on them can be hard to get cleaned out as good as they need to be. I took my carb apart 4 or 5 times before I got it cleaned out good enough to run correctly with out haveing to choke it.

Old, don't be afraid to use your torch tip cleaning tool and a can of spray carb cleaner. All of my carbs get the spray can treatment before I reassemble.

I use both of them plus soak them 24 hours in beemans carb cleaner and I also blow them out with 120-130 PSI of air. Just some carbs that don't like to clean up on the first try.

Yep, if I can't get the spray cleaner to come out somewhere when I stick the nozzle in another place, I know the carb is not clean yet.
