why would my carburetor by leaking even after a rebuild. I can't really tell where it is coming from, but I assume there is something wrong with the float. Does that sound right? I ran the tractor for about two minutes and then turned it off. About an hour later, there was gas all over the floor in my garage. It was quickly leaking from the carburetor. How can I fix this?
Any help appreciated

When you take back apart you might check the float for leaks. Shake it and listen for juice inside.

Then take it in the house and submerge it in real warm water and see if it bubbles.

Needle in the seat isn't close off like it should be. You may have a bad float or it could be binding some place. Also if the new needle is a rubber tipped one you may need to make it seat by opening up the carb, drop the needle in the seat and tap it a couple times with a punch or very small hammer. Doesn't take much to make it seat but some times you have to sort of set it to the needle seat to make it work. Its also a good idea to shut off the gas when not running a tractor or you can end up with gas in the oil pan which will blow your engine for you
