Exhaust Manifold Data Plate on B

Does anyone reproduce the data plates that bolt to the manifold on the B tractor? I've noticed that the repro manifolds have no provision for the plate. I'm going to try to save my original manifold and would like to have the plate affixed. It's a gas burning model, 1946 or '47 depending on what book you look in.

I sent off an email to a guy I know (and owes me...) that does all sorts of trick CNC machining of Alumn. I asked him about how hard it would be to whip up a batch of these. I think a lot of folks are missing them...

I will post up when I learn something..

Hi Bob,

I don't know if anyone is making reproduction plates but I have made a dimensioned drawing of mine that you could use to make one yourself or have one professionally engraved. I have also modified one of the reproduction manifolds to enable attaching my plate. You can see my modification method and a link to my plate drawing here.

That's really cool, Rod. I don't know why you had trouble with the Eastwoods. I've used it on car exhaust and intakes, painted over it orleft it bare and it lasted years. Usually I sandblasted the item and used brakeclean to make sure it was grease free, then used a foam brush and painted it on. I seem to remember that they say to let it cure a while before applying heat. Thanks for the response, Bob
