Over the weekend I cranked and kranked my Allis trying to get her started, She would start from time to time, but would only run for about six to eight seconds, the carb would flood from time to time, and fuel would leak out through the gasket etc, I have checked the float and all seems to be O.K, could the gasket be letting in air, as its not in to good a shape ?? or could it be the mag.
Any help would be apreciated as the blisters on my hand are as big as dinner plates.

First thing I would check is that you have a nice brite blue spark at the plugs. If its sort of a yellow color you have a problem in the mag. If the spark is nice and blue then try this. Turn the gas on, count to 30-45 then shut the gas off. Then try to start it. If it fires up be fast and trun the gas back on. I've had more then one tractor do that type of thing to me and doing that fixed the no start problem.
