i am restoring a ca allis and was wondering if it would be best to get the hand cluch working again. or not. when i bought it the cluch lever had been removed, and i dont know how much expense it will be to fix it.

Use a piece of all thread and put it in the stick hole and see if the clutch will disengage. If it does not then you are looking at a stuck clutch. Spray with brake shoe cleaner. Then do again a day later, several days. Usually it will unstick the clutch plate. I have a CA w/hand clutch,BTDT and it finally broke loose. Good luck..
