I need to change the pto coupling on my 190xt and need some help. One guy ( former AC dealer) says I can get at it through the rectangular cover on the right side. Another guy says that the tractor has to be split to change the coupling. To me it seems like I should be able to get at it through the side cover but I don't know what all is in there or how much room there is. The output shaft is out of the tractor at this time. Any one know for sure?

You should be able to do it though the side cover with the pto shaft out. It would be worth a try before splitting the tractor.

Thanks for the reply, Joe. I have an I&T manual, but it doesn't show that area very well. I'll pull the side cover off next week and see what I see. If I can get the coupling off, I'll order the new one and post what I discover.
