my WC runs with a miss and a pop with the plugwire on take the plugwire off and it just runs rough no popping. anyone have any ideas what it might be i would be very greatful for any information.

As BC says and or it could also be a bad rotor, plug wire, or even a bad plug. You could also have a valve that is set wrong or is burned

if firing order is rite i'd suspect a cracked or carbon tracked distributor cap or mag cap as the case may be.
