1950 ac b has no oil prs. i dropped the pan and put a set of bearings in her.. i drove it home not thinking.(DA) anyways there was all kinds of gasket material ,and other nasty things. i took the rocker arm off and cleaned the stud and the lines all the way to the filter. i put it back together and it started up and sounded good and i shut it off w/no oil presure. just checked the filter and there's no oil in it ethier. So..... ..... .. do i split her or just give up while i'm ahead? the tractor is real complete and in real good condition body wise. no leaks. i hate to scrap it, but my wife is starting to think i'm nut's. i've got 2b's and a c. the c is for sale and the b i'm talking of will be to. help please. is there any other oil presure thing i'm missing?

Gary, I have worked recently a lot with the oil pressure on our 52 CA. I done all following things to improve the pressure on ours but not in the right order and many more oil changes than I really needed. Plan it out and it did help. The pressure is low normaly only about 10 to 13 pounds.
1. Clean the pickup tube filter. I will probably be virually plugged if it hasnt been cleaned recently.
2. Check gage or replace it. Doesnt sound like your problem but who knows.
3. Prime the pump by filling the oil outlet pipe at the rear of the engine.
4. Use a Fram C159 oil filter. Some of the others have a different design and wont let the pump build pressure.
5. Use straight 30 weight oil. Nothing else and dont use Castrol oil! It will casue all types of other problems to numerous to list.

If you have done all that.....well you know what to do there not hard to rebuild and parts are avilable through Agco.

Hope this helps and good luck. If you need parts break downs let me know I will email them to you.

Mike
