My 1956 WD45 jumps out of 4th gear on the road.Any idea on how to cure this problem. Thanks.

My WD45 jumps out of third when holding back going down hill. The solution: use second. In your case I would advise using third instead of fourth. If you mean the shifter slides out from between the forks that is another story. I have had success in gobbing some weld on the bottom of the shifter, then grinding it down to the propper size.

Fredd, Thanks for the tip on welding the ball up then grinding it down. A bungie cord will hold it in place,but i would like for it to work correctly. Thanks again, John
