I just bought a set of spark plus off e.bay advertised for an Allis B, but they arrived as Long reach, My Allis was fitted with short reach, is this normal ?? bearing in mind mine is a British build Allis

I don"t know if being British built makes a difference but since your tractor had short reach plugs I would guess that it does not. That being said an Allis B takes a J8C Champion or equivalent.

Champion Manual shows B- J8/UJ8
for gasoline tractors Gap= 30

All the ones I have ever seen for the B/C where the short type. My question is why buy them on E-bay when its a common plug that any good auto parts store will have on hand or be able to get in 24 hours
