I've got a wiring diagram for wiring up a alternator with a built in regulator. I need a wiring diagram for generator and voltage regulator. If anybody could send me one or tell me where to get one. It would be a big help. Its for a B-Allis chalmers, it being change to a 12 volts system. Thank in advanced, Eddie

The factory wiring diagram for your tractor, along with lube info and much more- is in the operator manual. Factory generator for your tractor was a 6 volt, but you could use a 12 volt generator from a D17, would look close to original but still be 12 v.

i can send you a diagram if you want. basically you want a regulator with 3 terminals B,G,F. the generator has two terminals A and F. Wire the A (armature) to the G (generator), and the F (field) to the F. Run a 3rd wire from the B terminal of the regulator to the ampmeter (battery voltage) oposite side of ampmeter goes to the battery. use 16 gauge for the small wires and 12 or 10 for the BAT to the amp meter.
