Bought this 3-14 plow and it has this coupler on it. Won't work on my WD so should I put it on ebay?

Used one of those for many years on Dad"s 51 WD, didnt have snap coupler. If you convert to snap hitch you need to use the break away lift arm attachments. Ours had the bolt on style or at least set screw, that wouldnt come loose,if the snap pops out, the hitch digs in the ground and the plow will smack you in the back of the head-- no more problems. Please dont change one with out the other.

As others have said, you can either remove you snap coupler bell and hook the plow up that way, or remove the two bolts that hold the pin hitch to the plow and replace it with a snap coupler ring. Either way, not too hard a job. I would keep the plow if the wear parts are good, or sell it and look for something better if the wear parts are shot. There shouldn't be hardly any difference in the price of plows in the same condition, from pin hitch to snap coupler. With a welder and a little scrap iron it isn't difficult to fashion a workable snap coupler ring to fit pin hitch equipment. That`s my 2 cents.

Why won't it work on your WD? Is it because you have a snap coupler? If so pull the pin that holds the snap coupler on your tractor and hook the plow up there. You probably have a different way to hook it on the lift arms other than the latch used with the snap coupler system. Provided your hydraulics are set right and your system is working right you will still have the advantage of traction booster. Just my opinion but I think the plow would be more value to keep it and use it than trying to sell. Depends on what the rest of the plow looks like.

That is a pin hitch plow, predecessor to the snap coupler plow. If your WD has the snap coupler bell on it, you may be able to unbolt this hitch on your plow and find a snap coupler eye and put in its place.

That's my idea too. They show up on ebay all the time. Does anyone use this type of coupler on the other AC tractors? Is it worth the time to try to sell it?

The CA pin hitch plow would also use that type of hitch. Don't think there was any differenc in them.

I think it will work on your WD. Not an easy hook up but you must pull the rear pin and drop the snap coupler. No power boost to worry about. No coming unhooked.
