Pan seats on Bs as far as I know were all aftermarket, however in some regions especially in the last years of B production virtually every tractor had this dealer installed suspended pan type seat. Most of these seats were made by Monroe but there were others. If the original seat frame is modified neatly they do look factory installed. After the C was replaced by the CA in late 1950, I'm surprised that A-C did not start putting the CA pan style seats on the B, but the B continued with the B/C bench type seat until the end of B production in 1957.

The IB always did. Has a mount that wraps around the differential housing. I have one type and the parts manual shows another. If it has that type of mount, perhaps a factory IB seat ordered for a B?

I've never had a B as new as yours and they did change later on (e.g., the manual shows a snap coupler on the last ones, have never seen one, always wanted to). Parts manual doesn't list s pan for the B though, just bench and frame. Never know though.
