The early 190XT also had a lot of rear end problems. It only had a 2 pinion rear end. I think the series 3 had a 4 pinion rear end put in it. I think they also added bigger gears in the rear end and maybe a bigger axle. I am not sure on the axle but I am sure the gears were made widder which would be stronger.

Well from what little I know there was an 190XT a 190XT series 2 and a 190XT series 3. The 190XT had tranny problems as they put almost the same tranny as the D19 in them. then they beefed them up some and then they beefed them up more and some other things on the series 3. If your looking to buy watch the trannys and make sure it stays in all the gears going up hill and down hill if they pop out then it can be big $$ to fix. I owned a 190XT series 1 good old tractor but was way to big for my 44 arces and it was to much tracotr for my baler and I was affaid it would be to much for it

I have a 1969 190XT diesel. I just bought a 190XT Series 3 Operator's Manual, and wondered if it will be fairly accurate for my 190 XT.

Should be close. When I had my 190XT I picked up an I-T manual AC202 for it and never regret doing so.
