what would you like to know? they were a great seller when they were new, my dad couldnt keepem on the lot. they came out cabless and handled usually around here a ten foot grain platform and a two or three row corn header. they were tough little combines that worked well and put a clean sample in the bin.

i know that the engine is basically a D17 motor with heavier main bearings. it has larger valves than the wd45, and a higher compression ratio. i freind saw one go at an auction for $250. he wished he'd bought it!

The engine in an E is a D-17 motor period. They did have a higher compression ratio in the later ones (8.0 :1) like they put in the 170's. However, there is no difference in the main bearings..I've worked on these engines both out of tractors and combines and the bearings are identical.
