My Dad would like to sell his WD 45 located in Upstate NY but doesn't know what's a fair price to ask. It has a hydraulic front end bucket, quick hitch and no attachments. He's been using it and it runs fine, but certainly shows its age. Any "guestimates" on pricing would be appreciated. Thanks!

It can't be both a 1952 and a WD45. What is the serial number? That will tell for sure.
There is a difference in value between a WD and a WD45

Thanks for setting us straight. Dad says that the serial # is 225767 and the engine # is 45-86318G.He bought it used in 1985. Can you tell what year it was made? Also the tractor has the wide front end and the lift is a New Idea hydraulic with a trip bucket. It's a small bucket, he describes it as a manure bucket.

That serial number would make it a 1956 model. As for price, it varies a lot depending on condition and regional location. Here in Colorado I saw a 45 with the manure bucket loader sell for $500 but its tires were shot. Maybe $1000 to $2000 would be a bit more typical. What do you east coast guys see in your part of the country?
