Hi all wanted to let you know that there is a AC show put on by the Durst family in Richland County WI. There are 153 Allis Chalmers tractors there and they are all owned by someone in the Durst Family. There are several crawlers, dozers and a huge AC electro-magnet that was commissioned by the US Navy to clear the tarmac on aircraft carriers of debris. Quite a nice show especially when you consider it is put on by one family. Anyway, if you are in Wisconsin, I thought it was worth stopping by.

Drove down Sat. from Appleton. It was worth the drive. Very nice display. One tractor was driven in from S.D. Said it was a 38 hour drive. The most impressive machine is the HD-41 crawler. What a beast. Too bad Allis isn't around today. It would be fun to see what they would have on the market. No other company could do what they did in their time and some companies still can't.

The show is open today 7/16/06 until dark. There are 232 tractors,macinery,crawlers and combines. Just amazing.

I know a guy in Boscobel names Rusty, I think he pulled an old M. Anyway is that the family that has the place over by the fair grounds?
