was curious if it is possible to install a CA PTO housing/hyd pump on the B/C series tractor, or are the internals/pto housing different???anybody attempt this conversion????shawn

If you take the entire CA housing and pump, yes.

CA uses 4 pistons and B/C use 2, but the complete housings will swap (my B's have CA housings).

Assuming you have either no housing or a non-hydraulic housing (no plate on the right side), you just need to be sure that the both the new housing's PTO shaft and the pump have the same number of lobes (2 or 4. If you have a housing with a plate on the RH side, remove it and check how many lobes you have, then get the appropriate pump (about $250 rebuilt). Some later tractors have the provisions but no pump.

As I understand the shop manual the B and C pump is a two piston pump while the CA has four pistons. I doubt it would work.
