Hi John, That would be correct. The larger venturi takes more air flow to draw the fuel up into the air stream. When you drop your air flow you decrease the amount of fuel in the mixture. If you keep the RPM up you have a gain in HP if you have done what I think you have. We are not talking about a stock engine here. You will need a larger venturi than stock but not being able to lug will be one of your first indications. Probly the first indication would be needing extra RPM"s to start the engine

Hi,Dick how have you been?Pullen very much?My Daughter & sons love the AC.It is ease to drive.I know why you have all the ACs now.Its done real well 3250--4600 most of the time a top 3.But the carb has big jet & big venturi.Runs good settings look good at the exaust pipe.So just a smaller venture or jet as well.Any other help you can give to me to get more on the track with the Ac.Been pullen it at same pulls as Dads Big ford just need little help for the power tracks. Thanks john

P.S Are you pullen any where this weekend?

No! I have not even started my two main tractors that I normally load this year.
