What would make a good (poor boy)rock picker, this ol boy dont like climing on and off the tractor to pick them up by hand,,50 years ago it wasent that bad.

Lordy, Lordy, I hear ya, I have only 10 acres but I've shot several disc blades and rocks ain't good for the tractor tires either. Grandkids might me good for a small spot but if they're anything like mine they get distracted and have better things to do than pick up rocks...even if you pay them. Anyway, my rocks keep coming back especially after a good winter freeze. I sell sweetcorn and tomaotes but I think I'll start a you-pick-it rocks...pass out the buckets!

Can you rent a skidloader with a rock bucket? Around $25/hour here. If you need a shop project, reversing a tractor and putting the loader on the rear makes a good unit. Excellent traction and view of the bucket. WD Allis is easy to do, as well as H/M Farmall. Some use a Uni or a combine frame.
