Took the motor out of Ally to rebuild... put it back together. now the clutch looked fine so didnt mess with it other than remove and refit so the problem is that it will not Dissengage enough The gears clash real bad. we spun the pedal rod as far a possible but only helped a little and I know that there must be a better fix any Ideas? I am thinking of adjusting the release levers.

My guess is the disc is in backwards. Been there, done that.

Yes, you should probably adjust the fingers. Assuming that the clutch is assembled properly and the pressure plate is not badly warped, and that you don't have some loose lining draging on the flywheel or pressure plate you should be able to adjust the fingers to solve the problem. My book says 1/4 inch between the face of the throw out bearing and the contact point on the fingers. (All three must be adjusted the same.) If the clearance is more than 1/4 inch that is a problem. I just purchased the "rebuild engine-WD-45" from Yesterday's Tractors. When they disassembled the clutch on the example they were working on, someone in the past had replaced the clutch disc and put it in backwards; springs toward the flywheel. You wouldn't believe what it did to the flywheel bolts. Just a thought.
