just picked up a CA, couldn't find the serial number yet, gotts remove some paint or seat. the motor seems to run like a clock. there is a ticking noise coming from the PTO area, or hydro pump area, same thing I think, actually now that I said that I think it only makes the noise when the PTO is engauged, guess I'll have to check that again. oh, it came with a sickle bar mower to, it hooks to the gack to the 2 point or 4 point arms in the back, it seems to work good to. any comments are welcome....wait I mean most comments are welcome

The ticking you hear sounds like the normal sound of the hydraulic pump when you first lift the hydraulic handle up untill it builds up pressure. It sounds like you may have an Allis No. 3 mower. They hook up to the back lift arms. I have (2) wide front CA's and a No. 3 mower along with other CA implements. The serial number is on top of the transmition near the shift lever. I would be happy to help with any questions about CA's you may have.

I just recently purchased a CA also. It cam with Continental Belton belly mower and because of that it had no hitch parts. I have been buying all the snap coupler hitch parts.
Question: Will my WD52 snap coupler plow fit on the CA or does the CA require different implements than the WD?? If so, what is the difference ?? They are both snap coupler.

the ticking noise is as soon as you engage the PTO and let the clutch out and not using the hydro or using it, doesn"t matter and with it in gear or not....kinda thought it should be quiet

Only thing I can tell you about a CA is; I wish I still had mine! I sold it 20+ years ago and needed the money to help defray the cost of a new green tractor I bought back then. The CA I had was in first class shape, all the extra weights, 2 14" plows and a pick up disc....all snap coupler implements, sold it for a song!
