Shaggy, My Federal Mogul Bearing book states from serial #B64501 con rod journal ,1.9365 ----1.9375 Mains -2.249-2.250 .009 shim pack on rods & mains. Hope this helps. Earl

the main and connecting rod bearings should have .015 to .003 clearance on the crank. there should be .006 worth of shims on each cap. Normally three of .002 shim on each bolt. You can remove a shim or two to tighten up the clearances if needed. Main thing to measure is that the journals are round. if they are egg shaped more than .002 then you will have trouble using that crank. after setting each bearing clearance, roll the crank a couple turns to see that you still have easy turning before going to the next cap.
