I am looking to switch my WD to a 12 volt negative ground. I can't find any kits for A/C. I have a delco alternator with internal regulator but was wanting to convert the ignition from mag to electronic. What coil do I use? Do I need a whole new distributor? Is there a place to look? Or should I just keep the old Mag system (which works but needs the distributor timed). help please.

Chalm,
We offer numerous different kits for 12V conversions for your WD. Also have all the correct parts to upgrade from Mag to Distributor w/electronic Ignition. We carry a complete line of our own plug wires and Ignition parts for the the 12V conversion. Drop us a line or give us a call. Be happy to help you out... Thanks Dale for the referral!

NAPA IC14SB is a decent ( * NO RESISTOR REQUIRED * ) coil for generic 12v applications.. however.. many electronic ignitions will specify the use of a different coil.. or a 'hot' coil.. etc. So I'd get a coil based on the ignition makes recomendations.

Another option is to 'butcher' your mag, use it's points and wire in your own coil.. etc... I've sene that many a time on various tractors... In that case.. the coil I mentioned is fine..
