Grease gun

I go through a cartrige or two of grease a year keeping my AC 170 greased.

Putting in a new cartrige is easy, but getting the old one out is darn near impossible.

Any suggestions on how to make this easier?

Thanks for the suggestions.

My grease tubes seem to be usually "glued" to the gun by grease that leaked out of 'em. . .

Maybe I need to buy a different brand of grease. . .

If any of the other suggested methods don"t work, pull it out with a pair of pliers. Thats what I do because the nail on the wall is usually 6 miles away from the field.

i got a double headed concrete nail stuck in tha wall just for that purpose...hook metal lip of cartridge on nail and poof...its out of there.
wish i could get away with 1-2 a year...go thru a case or better a week around chere.

We always take the head off of our guns then pull the plunger back half way and let go. The tube comes half way out then it is easy to pull the rest of the way.
