Hi,

I am looking for a 3 or 4 spool hydraulic valve. I need 2 single acting and a double acting or 3 single acting and 2 double acting spools. It also must have an open center. I have checked surpluscenter but they do not have the right valve in stock. I could have them make one, but it gets very expensive. If anyone knows of somewhere that would have a used one or one that is not real expensive I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Surplus Center does have what you need. Look under stack valves or combination valves. On the stack valves you can put together as many spools as you want. There are losts of multiple valve in the combination valves also.

I would think you could get Item# 9-1386 for 69.95
to work, handles are easy to make. only problem is the 2000 psi relief. After putting a guage on my wd45 I found out it was only doing around 2000 psi anyway. If your tractor is doing better around 3000 psi like it should, putting these valves on would cut down the weight you could lift. I ended up putting a quick disconnect in the 3-point line and one on the pump outlet. If the tractor can't left one of those large bales something I have to hook the 3-point back direct to the tractor pump.

Thanks. I might just have to wait around and not use it for this hay season so that I can take my time gathering my parts. For about $400.00 I could get a real nice setup, but then the tractor is only worth about $1500.00. If I set it up the way you have yours, I should be able to spear a bale on the back and the front I think. What size are your round bales? Do you use 4X4 or 4x5?

One option is salvage yards. If you buy hydraulic valves from two combines, you may have enough 'slices' to put together. Example: Gleaner combines use Cessna valves, as do JD, Massey, others. The join side by side, and you can stack as many together as you need, given connecting bolts long enough. Some are single acting, some double. Put together what you need.
