Hello,
I was wondering what the availability is for a loader with a snow bucket and if this would be a good tractor for removing snow

In this area, Paulson was a popular brand, as well as Schwartz, Stanhoist. Make sure you get one with the right mounting brackets and high pressure cylinders for a WD. They are the smaller diameter cylinders. Fat cylinders are for low pressure tractors and you'll blow the seals out right away. I have a couple trip bucket Paulsons for sale. I've had them on both narrow and wide front tractors. Either one- don't carry the load higher than you need to, use common sense. Rear chains are a plus in snow, fluid filled tires or extra weight a necessity.

i've used a wd with a wd -9 loader for years. any tractor requires common sense. people get killed falling off of bicycles while standing still. a neighbor who is retired used a wd45 with a loader to put large round bales into his hayloft for years.keeping your load low , watch your speed and not making jerky movements will help to keep you safe. if you get or make a rollbar it can be even more dangerous than with out if you dont use the seatbelt. keep the rear wheels spread out as far as possible will help. and trying to avoid steep hills. look at the guys who mow roadsides. i've only seen one use a tricycle tractor but even with a wide front end , i wouldnt try some of their slopes.but if you try hard enough , you can kill yourself with anything. over a hundred people a years die by ball point pens!!

There is one available on this web site in Iowa and one on ebay right now. I am looking for one but will not install one untill I install a wide front end on my WD. From what I have read and there is a ton of accident reports on the web I believe that the the tricycle tractors are more unstale. Moving the center of gravity up with a loader just aggrevates the issue. My 2 cents worth. Stay safe

Since the front axle pivots so you can go over a hump with one front wheel on a wide front end, how far off the ground would a back wheel be when the front axle runs out of pivot room and the front axle starts to resist rollover?

Back in the 60's I had a hand trip "Superior" Loader for my WD. I widened the Bucket with wings and it worked very well for moving Snow.
