It"s more than likely a Ross box.Remove steering link from box. Loosen lock nut on the side of box, and back the follower pressure screw out. Then turn the wheel, and you should feel slight drag. If no drag, remove screws from top of box, and remove one of the shims. Repeat until you feel SLIGHT drag. Cut and remove shims carefully, in case you remove one too many, and need to reinstall. The shims are various sizes, and, if I remember correctly, size is marked on each. After that, turn side pressure screw in until you feel SLIGHT drag at CENTER of rotation. (count lock to lock, and find center). Then hook everything back up, and you may be in good shape. If not, you will probably need new bearings. There are 20 (Ithink), loose balls in the unit, 10 top, 10 bottom. The race is built into the top and bottom of screw, so they cannot be replaced. I think the adjustment might do it for you, may as well try it first.
