My A/C has the steering arm coming off the bottom and connecting to the top of the ldft tire! The Serial number is C40048. The engine is an AM 2916-11.
I'm trying to confirm the age and Model and trying to locate the Spindle/ales for the front tires. Any help?

if the back wheel hubs bolt on with 5 bolts, i go along with the C being a back half. if the hubs press on and have a 2 inch nut retainer (and only 5 ft wide, not 6). then i would guess a C transmission was put in a B.--- i agree, from the front of the trans to the radiator sounds like a B.

Daniel. The serial number indicates a 1947 model "C". However your description of the front end and steering describes a "B". I expect you have B front half and C back half.
