Allis 7050 won't move

Sunday I used the tractor and parked it when I was finished, no problems. Monday when I started it up everything appeared to be fine, then I put it in gear and it just sets there. It feels like the shifter lever is going in and out of gear with or without the clutch, with the same results. NOTHING anyone have any suggestions???

does your pto power steering and hydrualics work?
if not then your torque limiter gave up. this happened to my 7060 with powershift. 800 dollars for parts and labor + trucking, not too bad. ray

Also check range trans lever cable, that is hi-lo park lever.

i'd check fluid level again and filter [if there is one]

check to see if you trans-pressure light ever goes out. if not you have hyd pump related problem since 7000 series have wet clutch and brake.. no pump = no move

if you can feel slight grinding when shifting i would say start by checking hyd pump. it will grind because of the small amount of friction in the non pressurized clutch but when put in gear it will just slip

if i recall 7050 is maroon belly only? so shifter is on floor and no cables

when I shift the shifter, I feel it clicking into the gear but I feel no grinding. It's like you were shifting the gears with the engine off. Someone told me today that he thought the Main Power Director houseing had stripped out and a new one was about 2000.00. Im going to be their this weekend and will look into the fluid levels and filters. I'm not sure which light it is but I know one of them never goes off. The scarry part is the guy who works on the tractor is the one who said not to pay any attention to that light, they all do that. I am new to Allis tractors, and I appriciate your advice. I'll let you know what I find out. The mechanic is booked for 2 weeks.
