Had a dead short that melted the harness in the Switch box. Need Ideas on how to proceed. Slso is there any way to know if The switch and the Amp gauge are still good, hte short did not burn into either one.

Phil, I have a wiring diagram for a CA. Send me an email and I'll send you the diagram. You can test the switch with a volt/ohm meter set to the ohms position. The amp gauge needs quite a bit of current to function so the only way I've found to test it is use in a system. There are no outward signs unless the meter is pegged to the discharge side.
