I hear tell that the 262 6 cylinder combine engine will fit in the WD and WD45. Will it fit in a WC?? thanks jim

Jim, Not sure if 262 and 230 are the same block or not, if the are you will need a WD45D adapter plate, flywheel and starter to start with. Frame rais are the same but you will need to notch left rail to accomade the oil filter and govnor. the gas rad. can be used but will have to get creative with the routing because of the center placement of lower hose. 45D rad, no problem, The 6 cylinder moter also set lower in the frame, will nee to make front moter supports, last if it's a tricyle you will need to cut some eebbing out on the rear of the pedistal, wide front requires a 45 D rear support. Sounds like a lot, but really not bad to do. LOL H.B.

The frame isn't longer on the diesel. The radiator is moved forward. I would expect the front crank pully on the diesel is right at the back of the steering box.

Pretty sure you have to do some frame rail stretching to get it in a regular WD or WD45. They drop right in where a WD45 DIESEL engine sat, but the frame is (I think) shorter on a WD. I know something is a bit different, there is no steering pedistal "nose" on a diesel.

Are you sure the WD-45 diesel frame is longer or did they just move the grill and radiator forward to accomodate the 6 cylinder engine?

Well if it will fit in a WD it should also fit in a WC since the WD and WC use the same engine.
