The serial #s for '51 start at 072328 and end at 105131; that makes your tractor an early '51.

The "201" was the only engine offered in the WD. A newer style (tall) head was introduced on the WD with tractor serial #WD289001. This head was continued on the WD-45 "226" engines. The "226" engine was introduced with the WD-45 in 1953 with tractor serial #WD146607.

The number on the rear housing makes it a 1951. The gear shift lever should be straight not curved.

Yes the shift lever is straight.Did they only make 1 motor for that year? Do you know why I can not find serial no. in searches? Thank's again for all your help.

Not sure why you can't fint it. It's listed on this web site, I linked to it. They only made one engine for the entire run of WD's and one for the very very late WD's and all the WD 45's. Just did some poking around and a couple of parts places on-line list one clutch for any WD or WD45.
