I recently bought a 7580 and was trying to figure out what year it was. Serial number 1076. From what i have found it is a 1977 model, but here is my question. Every picture I have seen of this model have had the orange sheetmetal and the engine, axles, tranny, and rear end have been black. Well mine instead of being orange and black is orange and a dull red color. It doesnt look like it has ever been repainted. I was just wondering if anyone knew why this might be. Thank you.

Mine has the shift lever, (1-5,reverse) between the legs, and high low and park on the console to the right. Does the maroon paint make it any more or less valuable then the black ones? Also does anyone know how many of these had the maroon paint? Thank you.
