What kind of oil are you supposed to use in a 200 Allis transmission. Just wondering what would be compatable with the power director. Any ideas what is called for in the hydraulics and rear end. I have 15w40 Esso in the moter. Thanks

On my 7000, which is pretty similar to the 200, the tranny/powershift/hydraulics (all one compartment on the 7000, but I think it is seperate for the 200 with a tranny and a powerdirector/hydraulic compartment) and also the differential use allis 821, which is universal hydraulic/trans fluid. The final drives on each side need gear oil. The manual for my 7000 says allis 715 gear lube, which I think is 80w90 gear oil. Hope this helps.

The Hyd/Trans fluid at most auto and farm stores should do the trick. It should be compatable with Allis power fluid 821. All the fluid I have bought has been compatable. I believe the trans, hydraulics and rear end use the same fluid. If you do not have one get an owners manual and a service manual. They are invaluable.

Good luck

Thanks, I ordered and got a service manual through ITT this winter but cannot locate where to get a owners manual. I bought this tractor last summer at an auction.
