the old tractors fromt he 1940-50 era put out 3200 psi and very little flow, maybe 1/2 gpm or so. takes a very small cylinder, about 3/4 to 1 inch diameter to lift small tools.---- after 1960 with the D series ALLIS went to a low pressure, higher flow system.--- the old system works o.k. as long as you dont need lots of volumn, like a log splitter.

Well not sure if this is correct since it seems a little on the high side but the I-T books says something about 3100PSI and 1500 PSI. The lower number sounds more like what I would figure the pump would put out. If you have the I-T manual its paragraph 320
