I just purchased a 1951 wd. I will be using it for mowing, bush hoging, and posthole digging. Down the road I could see picking up a trip bucket loader as well. What is a better choice for 3 point hitch-older AC wishbone style or newer heavy duty newbie style? Also, what is the best choice on a low profile light capacity loader. I am intriqued by the paulson loaders. How hard is it to find these two items used? Thanks.

Paulson was a very popular loader in this area. I've got a couple extra to sell. If you're in driving distance of central MN, email is open.

The Cross Mfg. 3 point conversions are by far the best in my opinion. Several people on here and the unofficial Allis site sell them. They bolt to your existing drawbar and you don"t lose the use of the traction boost system. The Allis and aftermarket wishbone conversions are not has heavy in my opinion, you also don`t have a drawbar when you have them installed, and some of the wishbone type require you to remove the tractors PTO shaft or you will bend it when picking up an implement.

The Paulson loaders are fine. I believe Freeman made the AC loaders so you will see some Freeman and some AC that look just alike. The mounts may vary just a little depending on what AC tractor a loader was made for, but most of them can be made to fit a WD with just a vew new hole drilled in the mounts.
