I maybe able to buy an AC D14 but the bellymower it was advertized with, is apperently kaput. Are they still available and what would the price be?

I'm not sure, but I don't think Allis made a belly mowers for the D-14. I've never seen one or seen one in an ad. And I don't know if you mean a finish mower or a sickle mower.

If it is a finish mower, it is undoubtedly an after market variety. They usually aren't too hard to rebuild - new bearings and blades are usually all it requires. Cost would probably be about $100-150.

If it is a sickle mower, I can't help you. They did make a couple that connected to the Allis 3 point on the rear. Don't see them for sale much. But a sickle mower can be rebuilt as well but it is a lot more work. I rebuilt one once and it took me several days just on the sickle.

Thanks Texas Denny. I have since located the mower. It was at a different place than the tractor. The seller called it a belly mower but it is really a rearmounted sicklebar mower driven by the pto and mounted underneath the tractor and lifted by the two lift arms on the back. I think it was made by AC. it has the same paint. I had one like it years ago and seems to work quite well in lighter hay. I am going to pick both tractor and mower up tomorrow. I think the mower is restorable and not as kaput as the seller said. Thanks again for the info. S. de J.
