I'm replacing the battery cables on my 1950 WD. It's 6 volt, positive ground, electric ignition. Should I use any particular cableor are they all the same?

Thanks!

You might find 00 at a local battery shop. The local one here seems to always have access to the 00 welding stuff that gets salvaged from somewhere.

As Texas says the bigger the better. 6 volt system pull a lot of amps when turning the starter and big cables are need to do so. The auto type cable you buy at parts stores are #4 and will work but not for very long so you end up with trouble and wasted $$$. 0 or bigger

The brand is not a big issue. But the wire guage is. They should be 0 guage or bigger. You might be able to skate by with 1 guage if your engine is in exceptional condition. Smaller gauge than 1 that will not work.
