Recently bought a 200 for haying this summer. It's sittin around lonely lookin for a job. Truck got off the pavement at the local truck stop and got the tractor part buried pretty good. I went down with my 200 and hooked up with two log chains . Neighbor farmer said I was wasting my time, would take 2 tractors. My tires are fluid filled. Low gear and 2000 RPM pulled him right out. Next time I'm making money. I just wanted to see what it had.

I'm looking at buying a 200 right now. What kind of money did you have to give for yours?

NO OFFENSE TO JOHN DEERE! but I pulled out a MFWD john deere last summer. I think it was a 7520. She was stuck pretty good but i pulled her out with the good ol 200.

Truck was down pretty good, trailer was still on pavement. They were 90 degrees from each other, trucker had tried to turn around and got the tractor off into soft grass. Pulled the tractor out the way it went in. This is Iowa, you sink in wet dirt here.

I work for a guy who owns a 200. The last 5 years I have put quite a few hours on the old horse. I have always been impressed with how much power it has. Sometimes we may run short of traction but the power is always there.

I bought this tractor pretty blind. We wanted a wide front tractor for some hay ground we leased. Frankly, I wanted a Deere. Wife insisted on a cab. I just could not find anything decent in a Deere for my limit. A co-worker who knows a whole lot more than I ever will lined me up this one. 3300 hours on the old beast total, and only 400 on the engine. It had apparently been ruined when the air filter was left off during service. My brother-in-law is my partner on this hay deal. He wanted a Deere bad and was sorely disappointed in my purchase. Here we are a month later and he is using the AC for everything, leaving the 4010 narrow front sit. And there ain't nothing wrong with that 4010. I think he's in love.

I have always liked A-Cs for bailing. They seem to be geared just right for square baling. I bought a black belly 7000 last summer and it is a beast for its size. That thing will pull anything we have as fast as you want. I know before I went back to school I used it to disk harrow. We don't have a terribly huge harrow, nothing matched for this tractor, but it is a darn heavy 12 or 13 footer and the 7000 just played with it back there. The guy I work with said that that tractor had done the best job harrowing a field of any he had had out there before just because it was able to pull it faster than our ford 7610. I have used my 7000 for pulling a horsevan out of our driveway when it bottomed out on rail road tracks. put it in first gear 2nd range on the 3spd powershift and just chugged right along. I bet once you really get using it you will notice the fuel consumption on those tractors is pretty low for their size, a lot better than deere or ford (my 7000 will use less fuel than our 7610 ford doing the same job and I still get to blow all the smoke I want lol). Good luck with the A-C and try to not clash gears, as that can lead to costly repairs later on.

The fuel issue is already showing good. My brother in law commented on that last night. It"s just not using what he thought it would. It starts up cold about as fast as you hit the button, too. I"m feeling pretty good right now. This thing came to me with every fluid and filter brand new, as well as brand new rubber. That saved me a bit of money since the 1st thing I always do on new wheels is go thru everything.
