What engines will easily swap into and 8010? What combine engines would work? How about an 8030 engine, or is that too big?

Thanks in advance.

You're a little vauge. Are you looking for more power, better fuel economy, or just a plain replacement for a bad engine. If you wanted more power, the easiest "whole engine" swap would be a 7020 engine with 7000 series injection pump and injectors and the intercooler (it will smoke more though). If you want the best fuel economy, can't really beat a 7010 motor or even the 8010 motor, the 301s are great on fuel and have good response. A 426 can be put in, but it would involve some changing of parts and is a little more than the rearend is made to handle (the 8010 doesn't have the same # of clutch plates as the 8030 or 8050 and has a less heavy duty rear end). A cummins conversion is an option, but that would be a lot more money than it would ever add to resale. I think the K and M combines have 2900/649T engines and probably some others. Good luck

L and M combines - not the K. Interesting concept tho, on a 2-3 row combine! Never short on power.

you could probally put a 8030 engine in without to mutch trouble but a cummins conversion would be better by far if the rest of the tractor is good
