Can anyone offer a best guess as to how long it will take to split this tractor and replace the shift collar and/or gear to correct? I"ve never done a 210 but have done several 190 XT"s and 200"s. I know this model is completely different though. A friend is asking and I can"t visit the tractor nor do I have any manuals to reference. I suspect that the "deck" has to be raised and split behing the transmission but this is just a guess. Any help is apprecitated in advance.

I spilt my 220 last summer to re-do my transmission. Removed hood, then took off fuel lines, a few hyd. lines, then only a few bolts (8-10) holding the trans to the engine. Pulled engine forward (block under front axle so engine doesn't tip). Then I removed trans and overhauled. Took a few hours to split, but I've done it 4-5 times already. That's for tranny, not sure if hi/low is behind it or in it? If it is, it might not take as long, there should be less fittings back there
