I have what I thought was a housing for the allis b tractor but it seams to be to big. There is no way to mount it with out the coolant running out all over. Was this housing the same on the B as on the WD. I think this would be for the WD as it is to big for the B. I think it may measure only 1 1/2" x 2. this about 2 1/2" x 2". Any ideas? Am I missing a plate for the bottom? I can't tell.

the housing has a flat bottom, rectangualar shape. you put the thermosstst in and it is spirng loaded to hold it. there is a 1/8 thick plate on the bottom that holds on with 4 of a 1/4 inch bolts. then you bolt the entire assembly to the motor with two of a 3/8 bot about 4 inches long. maybe you are missing the 1/8 plate.

I think the 1/8" plate is missing. Is that part something I can get? Where?

i dont know if AGCO sells them or not. I had one rot out and i made another by tracing it out. if you dont have one that is a little harder, but could be done. basically you need a plate roughly 3 x 4 inches ( guess) with 2 little holes in the corners to mount to the housing with 1/4 or 5/16 bolts. there are two long 3/8 bolts that go thru from th etop of the houising all the way thru the plat and bolt to the motor. should not be too hard to lay that out. or go on e-bay and buy a thermostat housing with the plate on it. there is a guy in NY that parts out B-C ALLIS tractors on e-bay
