Parts for a Magneto on a '39B.

I went to the local parts store that can order me parts (points and condenser) for the FM magneto on my '39B. I figured it was time to get a set to change them out. The tractor is still hand crank so I try to keep it really tuned up.

Well I got charged $42 for a condenser and points. I thought this was a bit high. I try to support the local guys but how much is anyone else paying for these type of item?

Prices at local auto supply store:

Standard Ignition brand parts... good stuff...

Points: # S6-434... $8.66 (I THINK that's the correct #, would need numbers off of mag to be sure.)
Condensor: # S6-136 $6.72 (2-15/16" lead length)

Condensor: # S6-138 $7.03 (1-15/16" lead length)


Methinks you should have gone to the local place carrying your own jar of Vaseline!
