B Pick-Up Plows

I have never seen any like them so I am curious if there are others out there somewhere. There must be some but they may be buried in the dustbin of history, so to speak. They apparently are not as common as the standard AC pick-up plows. I am told that there were "several" aftermarket manufacturers for B plows, particularly during the war years, but I don't know how true that is.

I know that Woods still makes mowers for this vintage tractor (I have one and it works great). Is someone making plows for them? I have a '39B with out hydraulics...

You're not going to find anyone who makes that stuff nowadays. The closest you will come new is a complete one or two bottom 3 pt type plow that needs a 3 pt hitch and hydraulics. The specialized hand lift equipment was unique to the B and went out of favor as soon as B hydraulics became common. Depending on which 50% of the hand lift mechanism parts you now have, it may be possible to make the remaining parts yourself - or have someone make them for you. The hand and hydraulic lift versions of the standard AC-B pick-up plows shared some common parts. The rockshaft is one such part. I have seen those on ebay every once and a while. You have to be careful though. While many B&C parts interchange, that rockshaft assembly is not one of them. The B hand lift lever assemblies (and assist springs) are the parts that are unique to the hand lift arrangement. I've never noticed those anywhere. However, if they (right and left assemblies) are the parts you already have, you're lucky and making the others is a possibility. It's a shame that unique implement mounting parts get separated from the equipment itself over the years. I guess that's a sad fact with the old proprietary mounted implements that were used on the B. Parts get sold separately or end up at a scrap metal dealer or in a landfill.

WIARDs or AC? The WIARDs I have wouldn't fit a C without some modification because of the wider track on the C.
