I got my B 2 yrs ago for 600...it ran but I put new tires on it for another 400, got a new seat and painted it for another 100...i guess it depends on what it would take to get it unstuck and running

I would say thats a little on the high side. I just picked up a C which is almost the same tractor other the the front end. I payed $450 for it and it came with a sickle mower. I also know where one is right now for $200. If you do get it fill the cylinders with tranny fluid and you might luck out and it will brake free. I didn't get the lucky and ended up haveing to put a good used sleeve in one of the cylinder on it. I purrs like a kitten now.

Depends on how much of the work you can do yourself & if you like doing it. A complete engine overhaul, bearings, sleeves & pistons, valve job, etc. ran me about $800 in parts & machine shop work. Since it isn't running you can't check ignition, generator, starter, clutch or all the other things that could be bad. New rubber all around would probably cost about $400 and plow & cultivators have some value too. It sounds a little high, but? I guess it depends on how bad you want a B.
They are great little tractors. I still have the one Dad bought new in 1948.

I saw one yesterday with the same stuff and stuck in a swap sheet here for 400.00. I think that if it's not to stuck and it free's up I think that may be the high end of what it's worth. Remember that tractors are going up in cost each year and if 400.00 for one to day is high two years from now it would have been cheep. I bought one from here two years ago with two way plow and cultivators. The tractor motor was rebuilt and was in need of cluch work. I picked it up for 1000.00. I think that was a steal. If you want any idea of parts value, try to replace the plow. the moulboard will run you 65.00 or more for replacement. You can still get a complete plow for 75.00 off e-bay. Good luck in your investment. I enjoy the two I have and am always looking for more.
